SomHack is for legal, ethical cybersecurity learning only. This page explains what is allowed and what is not.

Learn and test the right way

You may only test systems that you own or that you have clear permission to test. The labs on SomHack are there for you to practice safely. Real systems are not practice targets.

What is not allowed

You must not use SomHack to do any of the following:

  • Illegal hacking of any kind
  • Attacking real targets or systems you do not own
  • Scanning third party systems without permission
  • Creating or spreading malware
  • Stealing credentials
  • Phishing
  • Spam
  • Denial of service attacks
  • Harassment of other users or staff
  • Cheating or sharing flags and answers
  • Abusing the labs or the lab infrastructure
  • Scraping or copying SomHack content
  • Bypassing payments or access controls
  • Attacking SomHack itself or its systems

If you break these rules

Breaking this policy can lead to your account being suspended or terminated. Serious cases may be reported where we are required to do so.
